Who we are

Help Bring Hope Florida was founded on a shared commitment to serve, uplift, and bring dignity to individuals and families across the state. The movement began in Orlando, where Founder Chiya Davis started feeding individuals experiencing homelessness, guided by her belief that even the smallest act of kindness can spark hope in someone who feels overlooked. Her dedication inspired Ranicia Williams, now Board Director of Central Florida, who soon joined the effort and helped strengthen the group’s early outreach.

Ranicia’s involvement led her to connect with Chaquoya Raiford, Board Secretary, whose ability to bring people together expanded the network and helped build the team. Through this connection, Chaquoya introduced the group to Ryan Mohorne, now Board Chair, whose organizational leadership and passion for service mobilized the effort to grow beyond Orlando. Ryan’s existing outreach work in Tallahassee helped unify two cities with the same heart for service and broadened the vision for what the organization could achieve statewide.

In December 2024, the newly aligned team held their first coordinated outreach event in Orlando, serving 50 individuals with the support of seven dedicated volunteers, many of whom continue to serve with Help Bring Hope Florida today. As the movement expanded into Tallahassee and Pompano Beach, the organization collectively served more than 350 individuals across these three communities, demonstrating the growing reach and impact of their mission.

As their efforts continued to grow, the founders formalized the organization by establishing a governing board and securing official nonprofit status in the summer of 2025.

Today, Help Bring Hope Florida serves communities across the state through food assistance, community outreach, health-centered initiatives, and accessible volunteer opportunities. Guided by strong leadership and a commitment to hope in action, the organization continues to strengthen communities and remind those in need that they are seen, supported, and valued.
