Hope Headlines: February 2026
Help Bring Hope Hosts Second Annual Holiday Outreach Event
This past December, Help Bring Hope brought Holiday greetings and hope to the City of Orlando, Florida. We gathered around 20 volunteers from around the state to serve those in need. We touched the lives of those in the Paramore, Downtown Orlando, Lake Eola and Callahan areas. Our Hope for the Holidays team packaged more than 130 bags that were distributed in the area. The bags included hot chilli, rice and cornbread, bottles of water, hygiene products and sandwiches.
We then partnered with the new Image Youth Center to help host their Bringing our Good to Your Hood holiday event on Mercy Drive in Orlando. Help Bring Hope partnered with Toys for Tots to contribute over 250 toys to the event. With the help of board and committee members, we made hot chocolate and hot dogs to help bring the holiday cheer! Our board chair, Ryan Mohorne, MS, is thrilled with the impact Help Bring Hope brought to Orlando.
“This type of service, this type of commitment, it’s the epitome of our mission, to provide compassion in action while serving underserved communities, " he explained. Our goal is to amplify our efforts and continue to find innovative methods to uplift the community we hope to serve.”
Help Bring Hope Releases Its Annual Report
In our inaugural year, Help Bring Hope impacted the lives of over 300 individuals. The organization started with seven individuals with a goal to provide compassion in action for underserved communities. The 2025 Annual Report showcases our compassion and dedication to serving those in need throughout the state of Florida. We developed regions in Orlando, Pompano Beach, and Tallahassee, where we’ve hosted street clean-ups, community outreach events, holiday drives, and back-to-school events.
As we step into 2026, our goal is to increase the support we bring throughout the state by increasing our fundraising efforts, expanding our regions, and continuing to provide compassion in action for underserved communities. The founder of Help Bring Hope explained she could never have imagined her vision to help those in need would be growing at such a fast pace.
“I am extremely proud of how far Help Bring Hope has grown within just one year, and I am excited for the years ahead,” Davis stated. “ It’s been an incredible learning experience watching everything come together and seeing how many individuals we’ve given Hope.”
Help Bring Hope: Committed to Supporting Moms and Children
HBH Board Members Attending Hope for the Hallways
Help Bring Hope aspires to improve maternal and child health throughout the state of Florida. According to the Florida Hospital Association, 1 in 5 women experience perinatal depression or a substance abuse disorder. Mothers who experience perinatal depression struggle with navigating families, workplaces, and communities. The Help Bring Hope Board is committed to finding strategic methods to bridge the gap for mothers and children who need support to reduce mental health issues. The Maternal Mortality Review Committee found that 22.5% of all pregnancy-related deaths were due to mental health conditions.
Help Bring Hope continues to support families across the state through initiatives such as our Hope for the Hallways event in South Florida and Hope for the Holidays event in Central Florida. Together, these events supported over 350 individuals!
This year, we plan to amplify our strategies to support moms and kids throughout Florida. Stay tuned for more volunteer and donation opportunities to support our maternal and child health programs.
HBH Joins the Fight to End Hunger in Florida
Over 3.2 million people struggle with hunger in Florida. Floridians report needing $2.27 billion more per year to meet basic food needs. Food Insecurity is a major concern for Help Bring Hope. Through strategic partnerships and donations, HBH plans to develop regional food banks that provide individuals with healthy food options. Each program hosted by the organization provides the community with a hot meal to reduce hunger. Rising food costs and housing instability intensify hunger. This highlights the urgent need for coordinated food assistance, community outreach, and partnerships across the state.
Help Bring Hope’s upcoming programs in Tallahassee, the Hope for the Harvest program, aim to feed and provide essentials to more than 200 people in the region. Stay tuned for more information on ways to get involved!
Over 28,000 People Face Homelessness. HBH is Here to Help
Homelessness is Help Bring Hope’s biggest focus area. The organization’s mission to provide compassionate action for underserved communities was born of our passion to serve 50 homeless individuals in Orlando in December 2024. In Florida, over 28,400 individuals are experiencing homelessness. Help Bring Hope plans to provide Florida’s homeless communities with essential needs through several different innovative mediums as the organization grows. The rising rate of homelessness signals the deepening of economic and housing instability, especially for children and older adults.
These trends strain local shelters, schools, and health care systems, impacting community well-being. HBH will continue to advocate on behalf of the homeless with a goal to help the process end homelessness in Florida.
