Help Bring Hope North Florida Serves Over 120 Individuals
“Hope for the Harvest is a reflection of what can happen when community, partnership, and purpose align,” said Ryan Mohorne, Board Chair of Help Bring Hope. “We’re grateful for the volunteers and partners who helped make this event a success.”
HBH recently hosted its Hope for the Harvest community outreach event at The Kearney Center in Tallahassee, bringing together volunteers and community partners to serve individuals in need.
The April 11 event mobilized 30 volunteers and served approximately 120 individuals, distributing more than 1,456 hygiene products and other essential resources. The event marked HBH’s second outreach effort at The Kearney Center and the first under its new Hope for the Harvest initiative.
The outreach was made possible through partnerships with The Kearney Center, Florida A&M University, and the Institute of Public Health at Florida A&M University.
Hope for the Harvest supports HBH’s mission to address homelessness, food insecurity, and maternal and child health through community-centered engagement and service.
Bring Hope Honored with “Champion of Hope Award” Following Rapid Growth Across Florida Communities
What started as a small volunteer-driven effort has quickly grown into a nonprofit making a meaningful impact across communities throughout Florida.
Help Bring Hope (HBH) was recently honored with the Champion of Hope Award during a National Month of Hope event hosted by Mothers In Crisis, recognizing the organization’s growing outreach efforts and commitment to serving communities in need.
HBH has expanded its footprint into Orlando, Pompano Beach, and Tallahassee, leading initiatives focused on addressing homelessness, food insecurity, and maternal and child health through direct outreach, resource distribution, and community partnerships.
“Receiving the Champion of Hope Award is a meaningful honor for our organization and the communities we serve,” said Ryan Mohorne, Board Chair of Help Bring Hope. “In a short period of time, we’ve seen what’s possible when passionate volunteers and partners come together with a shared purpose. This recognition reflects the impact of that collective effort and reinforces our commitment to continue growing our reach and deepening our support in every community we serve.”
Help Bring Hope Partners with Engage Church for Christmas in July
This summer, Help Bring Hope is partnering with Engage Community Church Tallahassee through a Christmas in July initiative where we will be collecting school supplies to provide to students in the Griffin Heights, Tallahassee neighborhood, and collecting donations for our Hope for the Hallways back-to-school event in South Florida. We are hoping to provide 50 students with bookbags in the Tallahassee area and support South Florida in serving over 200 individuals in the region.
